- May cause GI symptoms (nausea, dry mouth); maintain good hydration.
- Discontinue immediately if signs of acute pancreatitis occur.
- Not a substitute for insulin and should not be combined with other GLP‑1 receptor agonists.
- May increase hypoglycemia risk if used with insulin or sulfonylureas.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Contraception required during treatment and for 2 months before planned pregnancy.
- Not for patients under 18 years of age.
