Mechanism of action of tamsulosin
- Tamsulosin is a medicine that works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.

- Improve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
- Improves urine flow
- Reduces urinary tract symptoms such as difficulty starting urination, weak urine stream, and frequent urination.
- Relaxation of the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck
- Not used to treat prostate cancer or prevent prostate enlargement.
How to take Prosta Tab PR 0.4 mg tablets
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- Your doctor will tell you how to use this medicine, depending on your condition and age.
- Take one tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water, do not crush or chew.
- Doses may change under certain circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.
